Note: new Mk3 design features a full TIG pulse welded body opposed to the tag welds from the Mk2. It just looks better, same proven design.
The Eerder metaal Xplorer Mk3 Magnetic EZY pedal holder fits the MKS EZY Superior pedals with an axle end of 8.9mm (almost all of the MKS pedals in this shop)....
and does not work for the Ezy (non superior) 9.9mm axles unless you file off the three tiny bumps in the pedal holder body. Remove the magnet first before you start filing! (stick it to a fixed flat steel surface and pull real quick with a burst. The EZY superior version also works with the orignal Brompton G line pedal, see photos above.
This Mk3 version is designed to fit all Bromptons and probably all other bikes out thre and can be bolted to the left dropout at the eyelet for the mudguard stays / rear rack stays or on the G line also to the top rack mounting point on the seatstay or directly to the Eerder dropouts when you have converted your G line to derailleur gears or Rohloff.
The advantage of the the horizontal mounting position at the dropout (opposed to the vertical position at the seatstay of the G line) is that if you leave the pedal in the holder while unfolding, the pedal will never fall out. This can happen with really wild unfolding in the downward position.
Note: Wellgo pedals, see last photo, work just fine with these magnetic pedal holders, no changes needed. It will have a bit of play on the hexagonal section, but not noticeable as it's centered and hold on the conical bit. Pedals from Wellgo, Rockbros and the Brompton G line share the same hex shape axle. Quite different from the MKS design but it works with the magnetic pedal holders just as fine.
