Eerder metaal #stickymetalpatch Mk2 8pc kit protective patches for Brompton has 5 patches with an updated shape compared to the Mk1 kit. The stainless steel pathes have been designed to prevent paint damage caused by cable rub and tyre rub or to mask and protect current paint damage caused by cable rub.

Applying the chainstay patch: For this patch better take an even better look at the photos for the correct position. Thoroughly degrease the chain stay before applying. This might very well be the dirtiest place of your Brompton. Dry fit first with the Brompton in folded position to make sure it comes at the right spot. Use some masking tape or equivalent to mark the exact position. You might very easily stick it at the wrong side of the chain stay. It can be a bit confusing due to the folding of the rear frame. Press firmly and you're ready to roll !
Note: Only use degreasers which are safe for paint, like brake cleaner and window cleaner.
