I first ordered the XL Rack (not the bakset) because I was curious about the fitment of the clamp section on the Brompton front carrier block and the Eerder Full metal Bracket. And I must say it fits the Full metal Bracket and the Brompton Front Carrier Block quite nicely after I repositioned and added some Velcro filler material inside the clamp and filed the bottom of the square hole a bit so the latch of the FmB and the Brompton Front Carrier Block engages properly. Originally the fitment on the Brompton front carrier block is not the best. It has some play in all directions, more than I like. That's why I now offer these baskets modifed only for a bit more than the recommended sales price of €99.
For a Brompton basket at this price level it's pretty neat. With 835 grams on my scale (Fahrer says 780 gr) quite light and it feels pretty sturdy and stiff. A max load rating of 9 kg might be a bit conservative. It's the same load rating as for the XL rack, but it doesn't feature the same sturdy design as the XL rack. So while I think the rack can easily handle some more I wouldn't recommend doing so with the basket. But who knows, it's new to me and I don't have much experience with it yet. Overall I think it's a great basket and nice to have when you need something for hauling groceries, veggies etc, stuff that doesn't fit nice in your bag or you just don't want to carry in your bag, odd shaped objects or veggies fresh from the land with the dirt still on it maybe.
Compatible with the Eerder Xplorer pockets On the inside or on the outside for max capacity. There's room for two pockets on each side. So max 8 pockets in total.
